Dear Brothers and Sisters in Islam,
Assalaamu 'Alaikum!
If it is asked, "How do we know that, we are Muslims?" The easiest and
a prompt answer could be that, we all are "beef-eaters". I am not
joking - rather I am quite serious. This thought came to my mind as I
was watching the developments about "prothom alo episode". Someone has
sent me an SMS, calling to gather in front of Baitul Muqarram tomorrow
to SHOUT against "prothom alo", because it has insulted our
Prophet(SAW). Is it the very first time that, it has insulted Islam or
it's Prophet? Projecting bearded people with "sharp teeth" like dogs
in cartoons placed on the first page since it's inception - is it not
insulting Islam or it's Prophet?? May be it's high time you think of
an answer to these questions.
Has "prothom alo" become what it is in one single day? Certainly not!
Rather it took several years of our blessing of looking at it with
high esteem and paying it taka 8/- everyday to fill up it's coffer -
so that, it becomes richer and richer to fulfill it's "kafirization"
project in BD. Not only that, when our children came out with
extra-ordinary results in competitive exams like HSC or O/A-levels, we
sent them to "prothom alo" to get the "most honourable" blessing,
without which their achievement would have been pale and meaningless!
I know a friend of mine who travelled all the way from CTG to Dhaka
with his "hijabi" daughter, just to get the blessing of "prothom
alo". We kept looking like docile "cattle" when it handed over Aroj
Ali Matbor's book to our genius kids, during the reception for
extra-ordinary students, in an effort to turn them into "kuffar". We
paid no heed, when it single handedly coined the term "jongi" years
after years and established the notion that, "possibly all bearded
Muslims are terrorists" AND vice-versa. We enjoyed when it addressed
our teen aged daughter and invited her to "bondhu-shobha" to teach her
what she should do with her "boyfriend"!
So, before we go to the demonstration to prove that, we have become an
Ummah of "empty slogans" we should ask ourselves one more question:Who
created the mighty "prothom alo"? If you endorsed it with your money,
then rush to the mirror to see who created the "Frankenstein".
Alhamdulillah, this poor slave of Allah, never ever consciously paid 1
poisha to "prothom alo" - but, have you?
May Allah give us Towfique to make tawba for helping, aiding,
endorsing, encouraging, admiring, respecting and nourishing enemies of
Islam, before even thinking of going to any such demonstration like
Munafiques. Ameen!
